Fir Tree Farm Livery and Competition Yard in Association with ‘Equine Spa’.

Thriving and professionally run livery yard in North Barrow, Somerset, has spaces available for part or full liveries.

We are a small, experienced and friendly team who believe in tailoring our service to meet the individual demands of our clients.

Horses and ponies are taken for numerous reasons including: breaking; schooling; retraining; rehabilitation; pre-training; production for competition; and preparation for sale on behalf of clients. Quality horses and ponies are also occasionally for sale.

An extensive range of facilities are available including: 15 large, rubber matted, indoor stables; post and rail paddocks for individual or paired turnout; a spacious all-weather arena (available for private hire); an indoor walker; an Equissage massager; a solarium; and a highly secure tack room.

Also based at Fir Tree Farm is ‘Equine Spa’. This is a family run business offering effective Hydrotherapy treatment which, when used alone or in conjunction with conventional veterinary treatments, has been clinically proven to aid healing and reduce inflammation and recovery time after a multitude of injuries or ailments.

Using cold (2-4?C) aerated saline water the spa successfully treats: tendon and ligament injuries; bone damage (fractures, splints, sore shins); joint conditions; jarr up; concussion; laceration and infection of lower limbs; post-operative complications; healing of wounds; laminitis; and arthritis.

Hydrotherapy also has preventative benefits, for example it has been used to condition legs before competition and also to accelerate recovery time post-competition. It may also be used as a preventative measure against such conditions as Jarr up, sore shins, wind galls and inflamed splints.

Animals are taken as day patients or as part/full livery in conjunction with Fir Tree Farm Livery Yard.
